Pomp & Circumstance

Oh hey look what I did!
So this has been an awesome weekend! I graduated BYU with my BS in Exercise and Wellness, and let me tell you, I am so pumped to not be in school anymore! My Mom came down for the weekend and spoiled Spencer and I rotten by taking us out to dinner and helping me clean and organizing our apartment. (Which is kind of embarrassing to admit but I had been slacking with finals and everything. Luckily Spencer likes to clean or we would have been in trouble.)

After graduation we had a graduation party for me and my cousin Emily and got to spend time with family that we hardly ever get to see. I made this cake, and I do realize how lame it is to make a cake for your own party, but it was Emily's party too so let's just say I made it for her, cool?
It is a red velvet cake but instead of red coloring I used blue, obviously. I used this recipe that I found on Pinterest. I made cream cheese buttercream frosting and kind of just made it up as I went. For the logo I did a buttercream transfer of the BYU logo. Since it was just one color it was way easier than the one I made for Spencer's birthday.

Other big news... I got asked to be a bridesmaid! Two of my best friends from high school, Tyler and Kylie, are marrying each other! I am really excited because they are two of my closest and most loyal friends and I can't wait to be part of their big day! Kylie was one of my bridesmaids at my wedding.
(She is to my right, or left of me while looking at the picture.)
And here's a picture of us a couple summers ago when we drove to Huntington Beach all the way from Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
(Kylie, Tyler, Me, and Nick in the front.)
I better stop before I post a million pictures, but needless to say I'm excited. I'm also excited to have enough time to blog again so stay tuned for more posts coming your way!
